4.6. Acceptance and de-fusion

Acceptance is, in it’s purest form, understanding that it will be what it will be. You don’t have to like it, it doesn’t have to be pleasant, however it will still happen.

You have possibly heard the term “being ok with not being ok”. I like that one. It clearly says that not every day is going to be great… and when it’s not great I can deal with that. Not like it, just deal with it.

De-fusion is a flashy way to say that you need to come up for air. When you are ‘fused’ with a belief or experience, it is completely true. It is all encompassing and there is no alternative. Nothing, and I mean nothing, has no alternative. Don’t get me wrong – the choice is sometimes between crap and worse. However, if you can step back from whatever that belief is holding you down… you can begin making choices.
